WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Roman soldiers, courtesans, slaves and virgins all combine with Stephen Sondheim's music and lyrics to produce an absolutely hilarious musical comedy. With a book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is a riot. When Pseudolus tries to pass Hysterium off as a dead virgin girl, all pandemonium breaks loose.
