Walnut Street Theatre tops off its 2014-15 with the musical I Love a Piano. The show follows the story of a piano as it moves through time and through lives from the turn of the century to the present. Both heartbreaking and hilarious, the piano’s journey is told through various Irving Berlin songs, including classics such as "Blue Skies," "There’s No Business Like Show Business," "Puttin’ on the Ritz," "How Deep Is the Ocean," and the titular inspiration, "I Love a Piano."

Directed and choreographed by Ellie Mooney, the show features Scott Langdon as Alex, Ellie Mooney as Eileen, Own Pelesh as George, and Denise Whelan as Sadie.

The creative team includes Roman Tatarowicz (set design), Julia Poiesz (costume design), Ryan O’Gara (lighting design), Christopher Colucci (sound design), David Jenkins (music and vocal director), and Angela Cucco (stage manager).

Performances will run through June 28.
