Walnut Street Theatre Announces 2012-2013 Season

Walnut Street Theatre has announced the productions that will be included in its 2012-2013 mainstage season. This will be the theater’s 204th season of live entertainment and its 30th season as a not-for-profit producing theater company.

The season will begin with the American premiere of Love Story, The Musical (September 4-October 21), inspired by Erich Segal’s best-selling iconic novel and its film version. Next up will be Meredith Wilson’s classic tuner, The Music Man (November 6-January 6).

In 2013, WST will present Oscar Wilde’s comedy of manners, An Ideal Husband (January 15- March 3). Walnut will continue the season with David Lindsay-Abaire’s recent Tony-nominated play Good People (March 12-April 28). The season will conclude with the popular musical Grease (May 14-July 14).
