Full Cast, Creative Team Announced for Mauckingbird’s Lesbian Adaptation of Hedda Gabler

Full cast and creative team have been announced for Mauckingbird Theatre Company’s presentation of Hedda Gabler, adapted from Henrik Ibsen’s original by Caroline Kava, and set to play the Adrienne Theatre, Second Stage, January 10-29. Peter Reynolds will direct.

This adaptation explores lesbian relationships and the search for personal and sexual identity while exposing class divides, sexism, and the influence of money and status in aristocratic and bourgeois worlds.

The cast will include Jessica DalCanton (Mrs. Thea Elvsted), Jennie Eisenhower (Hedda Tesman), Matthew Lorenz (Judge Brack), Kristen O’Rourke (Berta), Sarah Sanford (Miss Eilert Lovborg), Dito van Reigersberg (George Tesman), and Cheryl Williams (Aunt Julia Tesman).

The creative team includes costume designer Marie Anne Chiment, dramaturg Jennifer Jacobs, set designer Corey Palmer, and lighting designer Maria Shaplin.
