Scott Zigler will direct the Philadelphia Theatre Company’s production of David Mamet’s Race, at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, January 21-February13.

In the play, which debuted on Broadway last season, two lawyers, one black and one white, are offered the chance to defend a wealthy white executive charged with committing a provocative crime against a young black woman. When a new legal assistant gets involved, suspicions bubbling beneath the surface explode.

Zigler, along with Mamet and William H. Macy, is a founding member of the Atlantic Theater Company. He directed Mamet’s The Old Neighborhood on Broadway, after directing the world premiere production at the American Repertory Theatre. He has also directed Mamet’s The Cryptogram, Oleanna, The Woods, and Sexual Perversity in Chicago.
