11th Hour Theatre Announces Cast for The Bomb-itty of Errors

11th Hour Theatre has announced casting for its remounting of The Bomb-itty of Errors, to run September 1-25 at the Skybox at the Adrienne. Megan Nicole O’Brien will direct.

This hip-hop adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors is written by Jordan Allen-Dutton, Jason Catalano, GQ, and Erik Weiner with music by J.A.Q. Performed with a live DJ, the play features four actors who will play all of the characters. Those characters include MC Egeon and his wife Betty, who are blessed with quadruplets – two sets of identical twins. The bigger pair are each named Antipholus and the smaller pair are both named Dromio. Economic misfortune befalls the family and the parents are forced to give up the kids for adoption. The twins are split up. One Antipholus and one Dromio grow up in the town of Ephesus and the other Antipholus and Dromio are raised in the town of Syracuse, unaware of the existence of their identical twins.

The cast will include Thomas DelPizzo, Michael Philip O’Brien, Steve Pacek, and Mark Valenzuela, all of whom are returning members from the original Barrymore Award Winning Production, as well as Davy Raphaely.

The design team will be comprised of sound designer Mark Valenzuela, costume designer Holly Payne, light designer Dominic Chacon, set designer Maura Roche, and choreographer Samuel Antonio Reyes.
