David Mamet’s Race Added to Philadelphia Theatre Company’s 2010-2011 Season

Philadelphia Theatre Company has added David Mamet’s Race to its 2010-2011 season. The production will run January 21 – February 13.

The play focuses on three attorneys, two black and one white, who are offered a chance to defend a white man charged with a crime against a black woman. Casting and creative team will be announced at a later date.

As previously announced, the theater’s season will also include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (November 12 – December 12), Anna Deavere Smith in her one-woman award-winning show, Let Me Down Easy (March 18-April 10), and Ruined by Lynn Nottage (May 20 – June 12).
