Charles Illingworth IV, Matthew Lorenz, Danielle Pinnock, et al. Set for Mauckingbird’s Midsummer Night’s Dream

Mauckingbird Theatre Company has announced casting for its gender-bending production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, to be presented at the Randall Theater at Temple University, August 20-September 12. Peter Reynolds and Lynne Innerst will direct.

In Mauckingbird’s production, Athens is an elite boarding school where the social scene is fierce and dating is as dramatic as ever. The show will feature an original pop score by Barrymore Award-winner Chris Colucci.

The cast will include Nick Anselmo (Egeus), Stephanie Cryor (Peter Quince), Justina Ercole (Peaseblossom), Sean Gibson (Demetrius), Sam Han (Puck), Charles Illingworth IV (Titania), Patrick Joyce (Helena), Melanie Julian (Hippolyta), Brent Knobloch (Robin Starveling), Emily Letts (Lysander), Matthew Lorenz (Oberon), Benjamin Lovell (Theseus), Eileen McHugh (Mustardseed), Erin Mulgrew (Hermia), Luis Pagan-Anderson (Moth), Danielle Pinnock (Nick Bottom), Will Poost (Snug), David Quinn (Francis Flute), Rebecca Sherman (Tom Snout), and Richie Sklar (Cobweb).

The design team will include Dom Chacon (lighting), Chris Colucci (sound), Mike Long (video), Lauren Perigard (costumes), and Dan Soule and S. Cory Palmer (set).
