Philadelphia Theater Company has announced a one-week extension of The Happiness Lecture, created and performed by the Tony Award-winning actor and clown Bill Irwin, May 16-June 22.

Irwin leads an ensemble of eight actors and dancers on an adventure in pursuit of happiness by way of vignettes and physical comedy that spoof theatrical pretensions while exploring the joy of laughter.

The cast also features Nichole Canuso, Jennifer Childs, Melanie Cotton, Aaron Cromie, Lee Ann Etzold, and Makoto Hirano, along with New York-based Ephrat “Bounce” Asherie and Cori Olinghouse. The creative team features Jorge Cousineau (Sound & Video Design), Rebecca Lustig (Costume Design), Kelly Hanson (Set Design), and Nancy Schertler (Lighting Design).
