The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation has announced the winners of the second year of the Knight Arts Challenge in Philadelphia, including ten grant recipients whose projects aim to broaden and diversify audience accessibility to theater arts or encourage the creation of new works.

The community-wide contest seeks the most innovative ideas in the arts to engage and enrich Philadelphia's communities by asking one simple question: What's your best idea for the arts in Philadelphia?

Theater-related winners include Arden Theatre Company, Bearded Ladies Cabaret, GoKash Productions, Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Swim Pony Performing Arts, and The Wilma Theater.
