Asian Arts Initiative to Present Jeffrey Ethan Lee’s identity papers

The Asian Arts Initiative will present writer/performer Jeffrey Ethan Lee’s identity papers, March 15 at 7:30 pm.

This dramatic poem for two voices, also featuring Lori-Nan Engler, begins as an infernal journey through a violent assault in Brooklyn becomes a humanizing vision of the city in which love becomes possible again.

The CD version of identity papers was nominated for a Spoken Word Grammy in 2002, while the 2006 book version was a finalist for the Colorado Book Award.
