Tony Award nominee Forrest McClendon will star as Jim in a concert performance of the musical, Big River at Arts Bank Theater, to run February 23-25. Frank Anzalone will direct, with musical direction by Linda Henderson.

Featuring music and lyrics by Roger Williams and book by William Hauptman, the musical is adapted from the Mark Twain novel, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

The concert will also feature Ben Dibble as The Duke, and students from the Ira Brind School of Theater Arts at The University of the Arts, including Adam Hoyak, who will co-star as Huck Finn.

McClendon received a Tony nomination for his performance as Mr. Tambo in Broadway’s The Scottsboro Boys, and will be recreating the role in a Philadelphia Theatre Company production of the musical, to run January 20-February 19.
