Tovah Feldshuh to Perform Golda’s Balcony at Bristol Riverside Theatre

Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh will perform Golda’s Balcony, William Gibson’s acclaimed solo play about former Israeli prime minister Golda Meir, as part of the Bristol Riverside Theatre’s Jewish Theatre Festival, to be held on Sunday, April 25.

The festival will also include Sofia’s Drawings performed by the Multi-Cultural Theatre of Gaililee. This multi-media piece is a based on a series of drawings made by Sofia Asscher-Pinkoff, a 16-year-old girl who hid in Holland during World War II. Her daughter, Efrat Haidini, will act in the play.

Also on view will be Theater Ariel’s production of The 10 Imaginings of Sarah and Hagar, which explores themes of womanhood, family, and community, along with a variety of other work.

In addition to a Tony nomination, Feldshuh won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance in Golda’s Balcony.
