A Lehigh Valley Christmas began in September 1996 with the idea that the Lehigh Valley, with its rich multitude of musical talent, could be showcased in one CD, and that the holidays would be the perfect time to bring people together and share in that holiday spirit. The resulting holiday compilation CD features a wide diversity of musical styles. Now celebrating its 11th year, this year's concert features all the performers who have appeared on all the previous CDs.

As has been the tradition for the past 11 years, the selections range from traditional holiday songs to obscure and eclectic tunes in a variety of musical genres. This year, the emcees include Lehigh County Executive Don Cunningham; Dennise Kowalczyk, the new executive director at WDIY community public radio 88.1 FM; Dave Fry, musician and founder of Godfrey Daniels; and Mark McKenna, artistic director of Touchstone Theatre.
