Bucks County Playhouse has announced complete casting for its upcoming world premiere production of Mothers and Sons, written by four-time Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally (Ragtime). Tony Award winner Tyne Daly (Master Class) will star alongside Tony Award nominees Manoel Felciano (Sweeney Todd) and Bobby Steggert (Ragtime). Tony Award nominee Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall) will direct.

Mothers and Sons follows a mother whose son has died from AIDS and his partner at the time of his death. The two reunite for the first time in years, leading us to questions about the state of society and its need for healing.

The Bucks County Playhouse has a history of bringing in top-class theater artists, and we are proud to be adding Terrence McNally to that roster,” says producing director Jed Bernstein. “We are also thrilled to have the talented Tyne Daly returning to our stage in the world premiere of a play from one of Broadway’s leading playwrights.”

The creative team features set design by Wilson Chin, costume design by Tony Award winner Jess Goldstein, lighting design by Travis McHale, and sound design by John Gromada.

Mothers and Sons is set to run for only 14 performances, from June 13-23.
