Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Daedalus Project to Benefit AIDS/HIV Relief Efforts
Oregon Shakespeare Festival‘s 25th annual Daedalus Project will be held on Monday, August 20 to benefit AIDS/HIV relief efforts. Last year’s event raised $90,000 for local and international AIDS/HIV organizations, and this year OSF is looking to continue to raise money to help prevent the spread of AIDS/HIV and remember and celebrate those who have died from the disease.
The Daedalus Project is directed and organized by Christine Albright, Mark Bedrad, Ted Deasy, Emily Knapp, and Miriam Labe and produced by Claudia Alick.
The Daedalus Project will host various fundraising events. A play reading of a rock concert version of The Rocky Horror Show, directed by David Kelly and musical direction by Darcy Danielson, starts at 2pm at the Angus Bowmer Theatre. The Daedalus Variety Show will open at 7:30pm. This parade of acts is hosted by Ray Porter with musical direction by Gary Busby. One day previous, on Sunday, August 19 at 9am, will be a 5k run, organized by Miles Fletcher.
