The Wexner Center for the Arts has announced its schedule for its 2011 winter/spring season, which will include previously announced appearances by Anna Deavere Smith and Philippe Quesne.

Smith will perform Let Me Down Easy, her solo show that looks at health care in America, February 22-27 and Quesne will offer performances of the Obie Award-winning L’Effet de Serge February 3-6. Newly added to the season are the Abbey Theatre’s production of Mark O’Rowe’s Terminus (March 9), which interweaves the stories of three characters; and Juan and John (April 7-9), Roger Guenveur Smith’s investigation of the charged story of baseball greats Juan Marichal and John Roseboro.

Also on the schedule is an appearance by Jazz guitarist and composer Rez Abbasi on February 19 as well as jazz guitarist Bill Frisell’s Not So Fast (February 26), an exploration of country jazz in the 1930s and ’40s, and the U.S. premiere of Southern Bound Comfort (March 30-April 2), a series of dance-music duets created by Gregory Maqoma and Shanell Winlock.

The Wexner’s film programming will include a new ongoing film series dedicated to showing the canon of “essential” films, presented the way they were meant to be seen: in a theater on a big screen, as well as a retrospective of films by Charlie Chaplin scheduled for May.
