WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

A parody of the recent rash of movie-based Broadway musicals, this wicked murder mystery is a reinterpretation of a little-seen 1989 bomb, as performed by an all-singing cast of drunken hobos and prostitutes. Oh, and there are robots.

Hobos, hookers, and robots; what's not to like?
I positively loved this show! Its a spot on parody of modern film based musicals that avoids taking itself too seriously but still seriously enough to be well performed, directed, and highly entertaining. The songs are ridiculously catchy and absolutely hilarious, in terms of both timing and lyric. The jokes are clever and well written, not to mention perfectly delivered by a high energy and very gifted cast. Any joke that at first may seem to be an inconsequential stand-alone pun returns with a witty vengeance that keeps the audience in stitches. From Soviet robots, to post-feminism, to poking fun at historical figures, "Zipperface!!?!: the Hobo Musical" makes sure that everyone will find a joke they couldnt keep from laughing at if you paid them. I wish the shows hadnt sold out so quickly; Id have liked to go see it again!

Amateurish at best
This was the most disappointing performance I have seen in this festival. Cant believe it made it in, as I have seen some truly amazing actors, comedians et al as part of Fringe. I thought I was seeing a high school play that was being performed to the casts family members who of course would say great. It was ridiculously long, lame jokes, poor singing, and while this might have been appealing to a novice theatre person, I cant imagine anyone who regularly sees musicals or any other type of theatre thinking this was even remotely good. The actors were awful sorry to say it was the worst thing I have ever seen ever! Dont waste your time!!!
