WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Part of the Women-at-Arms Festival. Works include: Mrs. Garrud's Dojo, by Peter Hilton At the turn of the last century, a young suffragette is forced to turn to her ju-jitsu instructor, when her husband discovers a dark floral secret of political militancy. This Side Of Paradise, by Mariana Elder Three high school girls reveal a unique method of letting off steam before the pressures of the impending homecoming dance prove too much for life in the valley of San Fernando. Mlle. Maupin, by Ricki G. Ravitts An infamous C18th dueling opera singer forces a trio of French courtiers to play the ultimate game of wit and steel - until her sense of entertainment turns sour. A Silent Exchange, by Peter Hilton In Brooklyn's Prospect Park of 1910, a woman film director tries to shoot Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" despite the unprofessional behavior of a pair of dueling actors.
