WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Several aspects of writer/director/lecturer Jake Hooker's psyche go to work attempting to elucidate the subjects of lyric Greek poetry and Roman art, topics very few people care about and he himself knows almost nothing about.Thankfully, certain rogue elements intercede on the behalf of the audience, leading to more personal (and present) ruminations on loneliness, on loss, on regret, on redemption --on sensation. A lecture with audio/visual aids.
Jake Hooker is a Brooklyn-based live artist. He is a writer, director, and now (apparently) a performer. In New York his work has been seen at The Chocolate Factory, The Kitchen, HERE, La Mama and The Ontological, among others, as well as in Seattle and Wales. He will begin pursuing a PhD at CUNY in the fall.
