WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Geoffrey Owens (The Cosby Show) directs this new historical drama and love story set in the antebellum south. What Light From Darkness Grows explores the intense and sudden relationship that develops over the course of six nights between two slaves thrown together by force to procreate. Playwright Janine Carter also takes on one of the play's principal roles.
