WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
La MaMa ETC presents What Happened to Me, an inventive performance work about a homeless man and how he got that way. Playwright, Harold Dean James comments provocatively on fate and destiny by taking the life of a homeless everyman and making it interchangeable with a variety of other characters, including a successful businessman, scholars, cowboys, and religious zealots. The production explores how a man's choices can haunt him for the rest of his life and sometimes shorten it.
