What Do Men Want? is an evening of two short plays that ask that burning and often hilarious question. Lay Down and Love Me Again written and performed by James Howell James Howell portrays Kevin, a gay man, who wants to perform a show but can't seem to get out of his bedroom! There in his bedroom, Kevin tells stories about his family, his ambitions and dashed dreams, stories filled with irony, wit and non-politically correct absurdity. The Naked Dead Elephant in the Middle of the Room by Larson Rose A gay playwright, a gay play, a gay audience----what are they? And how can a playwright shape his work to please and yet still say something? This is the problem faced in Larson Rose's smart, satirical, one act, poking gentle fun at the horribly overused theatre devices that lure gay men to the theatre. Do I have to say "expect nudity?" What Do Men Want? is presented as part of the Fifth Annual Fresh Fruit Festival.
