WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Atlantic Theatre Company celebrates its 15th season with co-founder David Mamet's, "The Water Engine & Mr. Happiness". Originally aired as a radio play, the story follows Charles Lang, a young man who invents an automobile engine that runs on water. The oil companies conspire to ruin Lang's reputation as well as his invention. Kicking off the evening is "Mr. Happiness". Bob Balaban portrays a 1930's radio personality who answers his listeners mail on the air with funny, touching results.
