WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The York College Performing Arts Center is hosting the second in a four part chamber music concert series featuring New York violin virtuoso - Tai Murray. Ms. Murray is an accomplished chamber musician and a recipient of the Certificate of Honor for outstanding musicianship by the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, Italy. In 2005 Ms. Murray became an artist member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center II. Her performance of the Bernstein Serenade with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in April 2004 elicited the Chicago Tribune's review: "Violin playing so full of youthful vitality and freshness deserved a huge ovation..." Ms. Murray has received top prizes in the Indiana University Concerto Competition, the inaugural Sphinx Competition, and the Juilliard School Concerto Competition. The November 13th presentation includes performances by Franz Schubert, Leos Janácek, Georg Phillip Telemann, Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst, Frederic Chopin and Maurice Ravel.
