Vintage Wine, or Past Its Prime? is written and directed by Charles Allcroft, featuring Bill Rice, Jim Neu, Cleo Young, Agosto Machado, Carol Mullins, Terry Robinson, Joe Munley, Valois Mickens and Ulla Dydo, among others. A bittersweet play about the nature of teaching and how to overcome the despair of a long career when you are unsure you can reach students any more. A parable that compares teaching blocks with the nature of love: just like someone who has been burned in love is bound to fall head over heels again, the teacher at the end of her/his rope is bound to break through and find the way back to innocent commitment and renewal.
