WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Blending a variety of sensual styles, Basya Schechter leads her band, Pharaoh's Daughter through swirling Hassidic chants, Mizrahi and Sephardi folk-rock, filtered through percussion, flute, strings and electronica. With a unique sound cultivated by Basya's Hassidic music background and travels in the Middle East and Africa, their newest album, "Haran," radiates with spiritual energy and rock 'n' roll intensity.
