WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
As seen in Oprah magazine!
The show began as a clever exercise, taking six award-winning playwrights from around the country and one composer to create a world premiere production for the Humana Festival of New American Plays. What has evolved is a fast-moving pastiche modeled on vaudevillian forms of entertainment set to mock-historic music. The hit-and-run gags take on everything from Bill O'Reilly to America's disregard for the Geneva Convention. This laugh a minute riot of a musical will have the crowd booing, hissing, and laughing in true vaudevillian style -- come and see good ole Uncle Sam bring back the great American Vaudeville.
Award-winning playwrights Greg
Allen, Sheila Callaghan, Bridget Carpenter, Eric
Coble, Richard Dresser, Hilly Hicks Jr. and composer
Michael Friedman hit their target in this anthology
originally created for the 2005 Humana Festival of New
American Plays.
