WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
NYNeo-Classical Ensemble's Twelfth Night reflects the joy and doubt of a young generation dealing with a world of uncertainty. Shakespeare's comedy about the lengths we go to reach those we love is combined with a live band, playing a fresh indie rock score that sounds like it was downloaded from iTunes this morning.
Featured in the cast are MATTHEW ROI BERGER (13P's CRAWL, FADE TO WHITE), CORINNE DONLY (World Premiere of Adam Rapp's BINGO WITH THE INDIANS), RICHARD DOUGLASS, BILL GRIFFIN, DALIYA KARNOFSKY, CALE KRISE, MELISSA LUSK, GRACE MCLEAN, HUBERT POINT-DUJOUR, JR., MATT SADEWITZ, ROBBIE COLLIER SUBLETT (GONE MISSING, The Civilians) and BRANDON URANOWITZ.

Inspired
This is the best production of Twelfth Night I have ever seen. Matthew Roi Berger has set Shakespeares words to his own original and energetic music, worth the price of admission alone. The songs are excellently delivered by Brandon Uranowitzs world-weary Feste. A command performance is also given by Bill Griffin in the role of Malvolio, enough so that I was led to question the "happiness" of this happy ending. Stunning production. Dont miss it.

Twelfth Night
This is a fun, contemporoary production with a quirky and talented cast. Creative staging and choreography, inventive lighting, sound and costume design and an energetic onstage rock band make this a Shakepeare play that can certainly be enjoyed by non-Shakespeare "fans." The ensemble infuses new meaning into the text and has a collective charm that sweeps the audience along. The final dance is wonderful! Worth seeing.
