WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

University students in war-torn Iran wrestle with Rumi, The Quran, and The Book of Revelations as their families struggle to survive. A cultural, historical, religious, mythical tour de force set during the time of the Iraq missile attacks on Iran. The play is steeped in the traditional Ta'ziyah and the devotions of Saint Reza. Translated into English for the first time, this working presentation will focus on creating a meaningful cultural exchange of ideas and art. It will culminate in a presentation that reflects where the artists are in & what they have learned in the process, and will include a dialogue with the audience after each performance.
