WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Handcart Ensemble presents The Wild Ass's Skin, adapted and directed by J. Scott Reynolds from the Balzac novel of the same name. A magical donkey pelt falls into the hands of a suicidal young man, which enables him to receive his heart's desires on demand--with the caveat that his life span shall diminish with proportion to the intensity and volume of his wishes.
