WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
"People get deader and deader each day they live." So says one of the characters after a few belts of gin in Beth Henley's The Wake of Jamey Foster. After Jamey Foster's untimely demise, his extended (and somewhat dysfunctional) family convenes to mourn his passing--a gathering that reveals broken dreams, wasted lives, exploding pigs, and the resiliency of the human spirit in this revival of the 1982 black comedy.
