WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
A Brechtian people-and-puppet play, The View from K Street Steak skewers the decadent world of Washington politicos and the lobbyists who love them. Riddled with psychosexual overtones, incorporating both song and dance, the show observes Washington machinations in a series of ribald vignettes told with a Vaudevillian spirit. Overseen by a Vegas puppet act, K Street pulls no punches, siding with no political party and sticking it to "da man" in a myriad of perverse ways. And what's the view from that notorious steakhouse in D.C.? Why it's the infamous U.S. Capitol - so close you can just taste it!
Written by Walt Stepp and directed by Tom Herman, The View from K Street Steak features: Rachel Darden Bennett, Kwaku Driskell, Bill Green, Christopher Hurt, Brian Patrick Mooney, Bill Tatum, Brad Thomason and Samantha Wynn.
The design team includes: Michael Kearns (sets), Cathy Small (costumes), Charles Forster (lights) and Christopher Rummel (sound). The Production Stage Manager is Maureen Rolgalski.
