WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Double Edge Theatre presents UnPOSSESSED, based on Miguel de Cervantes' Adventures of Don Quixote, which will be celebrating the 400th anniversary of its first publication. The production fuses popular and circus arts, including acrobatics, actors flying on 40 ft pieces of silk suspended from the ceiling, stilts, moving staircases and rolling gym wheels, live original music and narrative with Double Edge's uniquely imagistic and intimate theatrical approach.
Created by the DET Ensemble, the performance includes guest artists from Poland, Argentina and the U.S. Stacy Klein, the founder/ artistic director of Double Edge Theatre, is a prominent ensemble director. She was awarded the Massachusetts Artists Award in 1998 for artistic excellence. Double Edge Theatre, one of the country's longest-running ensemble theatres, celebrated twenty-two years in April.

Now making its New York debut, the troupe provides some spectacular stage pictures, but this offering is short on narrative cohesion.
