WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Colonial Jamaica. Napoleon's Paris. A barren Peruvian grassland. A modern-day New York City street. These are the settings for The Task, Heiner Müller's collage of stage images -- of dream and nightmare, of love and betrayal, and of revolution called off. This is theatre as secular spiritual experience, featuring music and lyrics by Fred Newman.
