Set in rural Ireland, The Shaughraun (pronounced shok-ron) is a whirlwind romantic comedy following the madcap journey of a wrongly accused fugitive who, with his rogue accomplice, must rescue his land and fiance from the grip of an evil country squire. Complications mount when the fugitive's sister falls for the British soldier who is sworn to arrest him.
