WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
MCTC's new production of Goldoni's famous farce continues the long tradition of Commedia dell'Arte, bringing with it all of the physical humor as well as the oft-neglected interaction with the audience. In this story Truffaldino, a servant looking for a master who will feed him to his heart's content, suddenly finds himself with not one but two masters at the same time. Meanwhile, the marriage between Silvio and Clarice, which would have united two leading families in Venice, is put in jeopardy by a surprise suitor who means to make off with both Clarice and a fortune. Chaos ensues as the families feud and Truffaldino tries to serve both of his two masters while dealing with the passionate drama that unfolds.
