WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Regarded by many as Anton Chekhov's masterwork, The Seagull will move and captivate you. It is Russia in the waning days of the 19th century. A country estate is the meeting place for a cast of characters that includes the idle, the ridiculous, the melancholy, and the comic. Their yearnings, compulsions, fears, and illusions become an absorbing tapestry of human life. Jennifer Evan Ward directs the play, in a translation by Paul Schmidt. There is an added performance on Thursday, April 5 at 8pm.
