In the work-in-progress lecture performance The Pixelated Revolution, Mroué explores the role social media and mobile phones played during the recent Syrian revolution. Rabih Mroué belongs to a tight-knit generation of artists that keeps Beirut at the forefront of the international artistic and cultural scene. He is the winner of the 2010 Spalding Gray Award. The Pixelated Revolution performs as part of the COIL 2012 Festival.
