Last seen live in the Brisbane Festival in Australia, anti-government revolutionary rock theatre sensation THE BEST has spent the past few months redefining live performance and cultivating an online cult through weekly live internet Bestcasts. Now for the first time, THE BEST will combine its newfangled web angle with its tried and true stage schtick in the OEDI Cycle, two plays drawing inspiration from Sophocles's Oedipus Cycle.

OEDIrx, loosely based on Sophocles's Oedipus Rex, tells the story of the webmaster named OEDI, and his quest to find a cure for the plague of online profile deletions that the government is inflicting on The Best's Myspace-like community cum revolution.

OEDI@:us, based on Oedipus at Colonus, is the story of The Best's pop fragmentation into solo careers as OEDI searches for a hosting server to become his final resting place. It features all ten feet of the temperamental but universally crowd-pleasing host on stilts, Hilda.
