Georger Gershwin, , Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin would be tickled pink if they had the opportunity to hear Jazz Standards kicked up a notch to a new level and with a new twist. Mexican musical theatre composer and arranger, Jaime Lozano is joined by musical theatre and jazz singer Florencia Cuenca to present a Jazz version of the songs from contemporary 60s to present, musical theatre. They call this "The New Standards." You'll recognize the music of the stage but with a robust jazzy flair and a richness in sound.

Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Jaime Lozano has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music and Composition from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and was the recipient of a full academic scholarship while earning his Master of Fine Arts from the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
