WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Zangwill's hundred-year-old play, most famous for popularizing the term "melting pot" is a forbidden love story between David (a young idealist, Jewish immigrant) and Vera (a Russian immigrant with a dark family history) who must overcome their own struggles in order to become part of a new collective American Identity. This staged reading features Teddy Alvaro, Seth Bridges, Tynan Craycraft, Eve Danzeisen, Jennifer Dees, Hal Fickett, Jake Hart, Kevin Jones, Mara Kaye, and Gillian Wiggin.
