The Lights of Hannukah: Stories with Marionettes

SHOW INFORMATION
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
For fifty years, a troupe of antique marionettes was confined to a dusty closet at Jan Hus Church in the heart of New York City's Czechoslovak neighborhood. In 1990, they came back to life when director Vít Horejs brought these century-old puppets back to the stage. The Lights of Hannukah: Stories with Marionettes begins with a 45 minute workshop in which children can learn the traditional art of Czech puppetry in a hands-on demonstration. Following the this, families can watch antique marionettes perform new and old tales of Hanukkah, accompanied by live music. Family and friends from 4 to 104 are welcome to join in on the fun.
