WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

In this modern fable originally penned by Malamud, an unexpected visitor flies through the fifth floor Lower East Side apartment window of Harry and Edie Cohen and their young son Maurie. The small, scrawny bird plops down on the kitchen table in the middle of dinner, and begins to speak. What follows exposes the family's uneasy tension between Jewish identity, past and present.Part of Untitled Theater Company #61's Festival of Jewish Theater and Ideas.
