When New Yorker Max Walsh's thirty-third birthday sends him into spiritual crisis, he takes off on a pilgrimage to Los Angeles. Can a pink-haired bartender with a Magdalene complex and a recovering addict with a fancy car help him find redemption? The Jesus Year is a story of the desert, the city, and solace.
