WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
In The Hanging of Razor Brown, Madame Lecompte takes her three French students for a picnic, dressed in their Sunday best. They choose a grassy knoll that overlooks the town square, where there are balloons, and peanuts, and watermelon, and jugglers, and from the limb of the live oak tree there hangs a noose.
