Dan Lauria and Swoosie Kurtz star in two special benefit performances of The Guys, Anne Nelson's moving post-9/11 drama of courage
in the face of unimaginable grief. Lauria plays the FDNY Captain faced with the challenge of eulogizing the firefighters in his company who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. He is helped by a journalist, played by Swoosie Kurtz, to find the words to express the inexpressible. Proceeds from the performance will be used for the New York Historical Society's ongoing "History Responds/ 9/11" collecting, conservation, and educational efforts.

A special reception for 1804 League members will follow the September 10th benefit performance.
