WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Girls of Summer is set in 1945, during the men's baseball strike, as an all African-American female baseball team is assembled to play "The Rockford Peaches" of the AAGPBL in an exhibition game. When the coach of the black team is mysteriously found dead - racism, deceit, and betrayal are brought to light as this drama unveils. The Girls of Summer is a part of the Midtown International Theater Festival and is written and directed by Layon Gray. Schedule: July 17th - 6pm July 20th - 8:30PM July 21st - 8:30PM July 22nd 6:00PM July 23rd 11:00AM July 24th - 6:00PM For Ages 17 and up!
