WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

A new play based on the book by Albert Cullum, adapted and directed by Michael Lluberes.

A moving piece of theatre about a group of elementary school students who transform their cold and rigid classroom into a playground of their imagination.

Based on the book The Geranium on the Window Sill Just Died But Teacher You Went Right On and the teachings of its author Albert Cullum (a trailblazer in American Education and subject of the 2004 Documentary A Touch of Greatness), Geranium Theatre transforms the poems expressing children's inner thoughts and feelings into an emotional theatrical landscape where windows open to let in paper rain, crayons color children's faces, walls dance, and a dead geranium on the window sill comes back to life.

Appropriate For All Ages
