WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The Fist examines the thorny question of whether pacifists are traitors. Three generations of an Israeli family are thrown into turmoil because the son, a highly decorated former army officer, is against the continued occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip and refuses to report to his reserve unit, under penalty of military trial and certain imprisonment. Directed by Michael Elliot Rutenberg. At the Performance on Sunday, March 28th, THEATER FOR THE NEW CITY (TNC) in association with the Refusers Solidarity Network will host a special benefit evening. Come see Misha Shulman's daring new play The Fist, and attend a panel to discuss the play and the Israeli refusenik movement! Tickets are only $25 and will be used to benefit the Refuser's Solidarity Movement and support The Fist. Panelists will include: Zohar Tirosh, Israeli playwright Asaf Shtull-Trauring of the Shministim movement and RSN And special guests!
